Thanks to Derek, now those using VM2 with MODE have the ability to modify the baked-in product ID of any of their disc images.
​This is a very useful option for GameID cases where homebrew/indie games share the same generic IDs, and even for a handful of retail games that overlap too.
When launching games using GDemu + openMenu or TO MODE, the VM2 uses the accurate game detection (GameID) which provides a 100% coverage rate.

When launching games using any other method (e.g. OEM discs), the VM2 uses the
generic game detection (GID) which provides a coverage rate of ~80%
